    Mr. R decided that we are going to do a project. My project is about the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Many people around the world don’t think South Africa is good country to be hosting the world cup because South Africa has had many problems with money, politics, racism, etc…

The general topic of my research is the FIFA World Cup. I want to learn more about the building of the stadiums, progress in organization, the racism, and anything else I can find. The problem that I am trying to solve is will South Africa be able to organize the world cup? I will probably present my project using a power point presentation. I chose this topic because I love soccer and I want to find out more about the world cup.

We talked about the Islamic communities, Muhammad the prophet and his followers, Oasis Days, Sunnis and the Shiites, our blogs, reading projects, etc…

I learned that the Sunni and Shiite Muslims had many disagreements, FIFA thinks
South Africa is doing a good job on the soccer world cup, “vestirse” means “to get dressed”, and the Muslim Empire was huge.

I daydreamed about being famous, flying, eating, going home, sleeping, rugby, soccer, French people, and braking every bone in my body.

I wanted to say ok I’m nodding my head, but I have no idea what your are talking about; can you keep quiet? I am trying to work; I’m hungry; and You need to get your facts straight sir.

My other comments If I get yelled at again for no reason I am going to go crazy, and I hope swimming will be over soon.

I was reading an article in a magazine about Bob Marley. Brooklyn is deciding whether to rename part of Church Avenue after Bob. There are many other streets named after celebrities, Manhattan’s Joey Ramone, Berlin has a Frank Zappa Street, and there’s a John Lennon Street in Serbia.
Why would people want to rename a street after a celebrity especially if that celeb. is not from that nation? Shouldn’t people rename streets after something more important, like history, presidents, etc?
A connection that I have is that my old school in South Africa was named after the first principal and who created the school.

Reading class, we talked about subscribtions, google reader, practising to write, blogs, and the six reading strategies. I think that clarify and ask questions were the main two strategies.

Humanities class, I learned that there is not alot of good news in the world, writing a book takes forever, and in Reading class, I learned that growing a plant is not easy, it takes patience.

Reading class, I daydreamed about fast-forwarding time so that i could go home and sleep, and what should I do when I am a billionare when I am older.

Spanish class, I wanted to say I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE SAYING!! PLEASE SLOW DOWN SENORA!

P.E. class, my other comments are the pool is so warm, and I wish we were allowed to do flips on the diving boards.

I think Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world. He has the skill, control, a good shot, is a play maker, and he has a good vision of the game. He was nominated as FIFA player of the year, Barclays FA Premier League player of the year, and best young player of the Barclays FA Premier League all in 2007, and many more to come.

In my reading enrichment class, my teacher told us to choose the six reading strategies, which are, visualize, ask questions, clarify, make connections, summarize, and predict. I have chosen to predict.
The book I am currently reading is called “Tangerine” by Edward Bloor. The main character in this story is a 12-year-old boy in 6th grade called Paul Fisher. He has an older brother in 12th grade named Erik. Paul and his family move to a town called Tangerine. Paul finds Tangerine very weird, there is a muck fire very near to his house. Paul likes soccer very much, he is a goalie and his nickname is Eclipse Boy because his glasses are so thick people say he stared at an eclipse for too long.
His brother Erik is a football player; he can kick over fifty-yard for field goals. On the first day of school Paul’s teachers think that he has seeing problems so they give him a guide, Paul was very insulted by this but she left anyways. Paul is waiting till the middle school soccer team starts.

What do I want to accomplish? I would like to make my site interesting; I want to finish my site thoroughly.

This will be my body of work – what do I want to see her in June? I want to see my site completely full; I want to put videos, reviews, and anything else that I can. I want to see people interested in my site.

What am I working towards? I am working towards completely finishing my site with a lot of effort.

How do I envision it now? I see it to be an interesting site which has been put effort into and is fun to go onto.
